Lenro Brieger PhotoLenro C. Brieger LUBBOCK-Funeral service for Lenro C. Brieger, 67, of Lubbock, formerly of Wilson, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, in Slaton’s Grace Lutheran Church with Lay-Minister Tonda Freitag officiating. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery, under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. He passed from this life Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, in Lubbock Lenro was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1968 and South Plains College in 1970. He married Elna Wuensche on Jan. 10, 1970, in Wilson. Lenro was a cotton farmer for 42 years retiring in 2012 due to health. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and most of all his family. He was preceded in death by his parents C.L. Buddy and Ila Mae Brieger. Those who will cherish his memory include: his wife, Elna of the home; son, Brent and Chalee of Lubbock, daughter, Kim and Alfred Cantu of Lubbock; two brothers, Steven (Donna) Brieger of Wolfforth, and Mark Brieger of Lubbock; along with five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will have a visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, March 2, at Englunds. The family suggests memorials be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wilson, TX 79381
