Arrested and Charged – Attempted Kidnapping

Provided by Lubbock Sheriff’s Office

On October 10, 2014 the Lubbock Sheriff’s Office arrested 24 year old Alan Lee Lindsey of Slaton, in connection with attempted aggravated kidnappings of two Slaton school students last week.

Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint from a Roosevelt School student late last week in regards to a suspicious person attempting to give her a ride home from a bus stop.

That information coupled with the reported incidents in Slaton, along with information brought forth by the public, led the Sheriff’s Office on an intense around-the-clock investigation resulting with the subsequent arrest of Lindsey Friday morning, in Slaton.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Lindsey, and he has been booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on two counts of Attempted Aggravated Kidnaping, two counts Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon ($500,000 bond) and multiple traffic violations.
