Southland Wins Leadership Development

Yesterday was the Mesa District Leadership Development Event. We had a great bunch of students that participated. Holden, Hayden, Michael, Brandon, Tucker, and Dallyn competed on the Radio Team. This is a great contest to aid in the development of speaking skills. Daniela, Kaylei, Bryce, and Kristen competed on the Senior Quiz team placing 2nd out of about 20 teams. Not only did their scores smoke the others, but they qualified for the Area contest at Big Springs, November 23, 2013. Both of these teams have been coming in before school and during their lunches to practice. They have done well so far this year. Please wish the Quiz team good luck as they try to advance to State.
