Prosperity Bank has an upcoming event that I need some help promoting and gathering support. Prosperity Bank is the sponsor for the U-Can-Share Food Drive for the South Plains Food Bank (SPFB).
This year, we are increasing awareness in the communities outside of the City of Lubbock. As you probably know, Mercy Manna is the contact organization in Slaton for distributing food vouchers to families in need so that they can pick up a food box. Trini Jackson at the SPFB reported that Slaton issues vouchers to 175-200 families in our community per month.
Prosperity Bank will be hosting a community tailgate at our banking center in Slaton on November 5th from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. The bank will provide a meal to all who attend.
It is hoped that this event will draw attention to the approaching food drive in November as well as to Mercy Manna as the contact point in Slaton.
Please put this event on your calendar and make plans to attend and share the evening with us. We would like as many people as possible to come out and help support this kick-off for the food drive, so spread the word!
KCBD should be on hand to film the event for use during the food drive and it will help promote Slaton as well.
