Food for Thought – Life is beautiful.
B and A Day had 9 birthday celebrants. Those celebrating were Wayne Liles (94 yrs young), Vysta Beard, Marolyn Rinne, Rob Hiner, Jo Lacy, J Lacy, Dee Walton, Dwayne Walters and Gary Sackett. There were no anniversaries. Congratulations to all birthday celebrants.
Bridge after lunch had 4 tables. Those who played were Jolene Fondy, Bob Adams, Sharon McIntire, Shealah Pagendarm, Troyce Wood, Steve Campbell, Max Robertson, Sandra Voigt, Ralph Bravoco, Rob Hiner, J. D. Zinck, Marge Zinck, Vysta Beard, Jimaileen Jenson, Jo Ann Williams, and Alma Jean Kennedy. The winners were Steve Campbell and Ralph Bravoco.
. Bingo on Tuesday had 21 players hoping to win a prize. The secret prize was won by Monica Urias. The blackout amount of $48.72 was split by John Ramirez, Carolyn Walker and Diane Walker. Join us next week on Monday for lunch and then stay to play bingo.

Just for Laughs – Martin had just received his brand-new driver’s license. The family trouped out to the driveway and climbed into the car, with Martin in the drivers seat, ready to take them for a ride for the first time. His father was in the backseat, directly behind the newly minted driver.
“I’ll bet you’re back there to get a change of scenery after all those months of sitting in the front seat, teaching me how to drive,” said the boy to his father.
“Nope,” came his fathers reply, “I’m gonna sit here and kick the back of your seat as you drive, just like you’ve been doing to me all these years.”
Mow deliveries for Aug. 25 – 29 were done by Hearts Together Church of Christ and Guadalupe Catholic Church. Those who served were Anita King, Marvin Self, Donovan Reder, Dennis Payne, Gloria Olivares, Raymond Garcia, Barbara Parks, and Curtis Baker.
Mow deliveries for Sept. 8-12 is the responsibility of First Methodist Church.
