Hi y’all! I hope everyone is doing great and is ready for summer! The Weekend Snack Sack Program has had a great year and has finished up strong providing 435 sacks weekly to the kiddos of SFA & CTE. We sacked for the last time this past Tuesday and will resume in August. We have been blessed this year with many new volunteers and are so excited to have you all! The sacking group is a lot of fun; we get the job done and enjoy a time of fellowship as well. We can’t thank you all enough for what you do for this program! The need is great in our community and we appreciate all you give in the way of contributions and service, it takes all of you to make this program work! We are selling plants for a fundraiser right now. The plants are Dew, in 10″ hanging baskets, and the cost is $20 each. These are very hardy plants, drought tolerant, and can be left in the hanging basket or used in pots or as a ground cover. I usually use them in pots, and they’ve worked very well for me. I am attaching a picture of the plants so you will all know what they look like. The blooms are either pink, yellow, or mixed. If you are interested in purchasing a plant they will be at the Antique Mall tonight, or you can give Donna Englund or myself a call and we will be glad to take your order. Many of you have already purchased plants and we thank you very much! We will be having other fundraisers going on throughout the summer and into the Fall. Again, we appreciate each of you and all you do to make this program possible.
