“New Chef” Will Cooper from the Harvey House

Harvey House Friends,

It is with great joy that I begin this adventure with the Slaton Harvey House. Slaton, Texas has great appeal to me as a community with small-town values, which are aligned with my personal ideology. Due to my family’s strong ties to both the railroad and agricultural industries I have HH Chefa personal interest in the history of the Harvey House and the Slaton region.

Since I was a child I have had an interest in cooking a variety of good home cooked meals for family, friends, and patrons. With over 12 years of restaurant experience in Panhandle and South Plains region, I am excited to continue my career in food and hospitality services. It is my goal to preserve the warm and inviting environment of the Harvey House by remaining attentive to your needs. Additionally, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty to provide a quality and comfortable guest experience. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge of the area and giving a taste of the past, present, and future of the South Plains.

I was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. My wife, Tiffany, is a fourth grade teacher for Lubbock ISD. We have a 5-month-old daughter named Joyce Willow Cooper, she is the light of our lives. My parents Robert and Debbie Cooper have chosen Slaton as their home after retirement and we have followed their lead, as family is our number one priority.

I cannot wait to meet you and look forward to many lifelong relationships. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this historical landmark and present establishment.

Sincerely,
