Food for Thought – When everything is coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.
The monthly 42 game had 2 tables of players. Those who played were Sandy Goodner, Jo Lacy, Eunice Montgomery, Imogene Davis, Albert Rinne, Bob Adams, Dwayne Walters, and Steve Colleps. Let’s shoot for 3 tables next month.
The weather last week kept some people from coming to the center. We still had domino and pool players every morning. Way to go guys!
Bingo on Monday had 22 players waiting to yell Bingo. The secret prize was won by Snow Arguello. The blackout amount of $45.12 was won by Diana Walker. We play Bingo every Monday starting at 1:00. Come join us and have fun playing Bingo.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendar! – Friday (Jan. 30 & Feb. 27) Amy from Calvert will entertain us with song starting at 11:45. Monday (Feb. 2) HFF from 10-12 – Bingo from 1-2. It is also “Ground Hog Day.”
Just for Laughs –It was raining, the windshield had mud splattered on it, and the car had almost collided with another vehicle twice. The hitchhiker was beginning to wish that the driver hadn’t picked him up.
“Don’t you think you should wipe off the windshield?” asked the passenger.
“Oh, no,” said the motorist with a smile. “That wouldn’t do a bit of good. I left my glasses at home.”
Mow deliveries for Jan. 19 – 23 were done by Guadalupe Catholic Church. Those who served were Gloria Olivares, Donovan Reader, Raymond Garcia, Annette Garza, Velia Corona, and Lupe Ruiz.
Mow deliveries for Feb. 2 – 6 is the responsibility of First Methodist Church.
