Community Development Reached 1 Year – Success!

The Community Development Group meet today and discussed the upcoming plans of action within Slaton.  Ann Marie Wright, Chamber of Commerce President,  reviewed the Landmark Slaton Sign, Clean Up Slaton and Fix-it.  Approximately one year ago was the initial implementation of the program.  Progress is being made.  The Landmark Sign is at the point of going out for bids.

*  Texas High School State Basketball Tournament is moving to the Alamodome in San Antonio after 93 years in Austin.
* The Houston Astros beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-1 last night. Game 2 tonight.
*  The Texas Rangers beat the Miami Marlins 6-0 last night. Rangers have the Day off today.
*  The NY Rangers beat the LA Kings 2-1 lastnight  to avoid a sweep in the Stanley Cup.
*  The San Antonio Spurs & Miami Heat Game 4 is tonight in Miami. San Antonio leads the series 2-1.
