Friday evening, May 9, at 7:00pm in the Southland Gym we will hold the 2nd Annual Southland Eagle Lift-A-Thon. Our athletes have worked very hard this year and will highlight how much progress they have made at this event. This is also a fund raising opportunity for their program. I hope everyone can come out and support our kids.

Robert “Bobby” Keys passed away Tuesday in Franklin, TN at the age of 70. Bobby played in the Slaton High School band under the direction of Bill Townsend. Bobby, Don Caldwell and Lee Meurer enjoyed playing tenor sax together in High School. Bobby had a long music industry History with the Rolling Stones and other nationally know legends.
