2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off & Country Dance set for Saturday
February 1 event benefits Slaton Saint Joseph School Cafeteria
SLATON, TEXAS – “Faculty members, friends, and complete strangers will help host and enjoy” the 2nd Annual Great Slaton Chili Cook -Off and Country Dance on Saturday, February 1, beginning at 4:00 p.m., according to Leroy Behnke, a spiritual director for the small parochial school in southeast Lubbock County.
“This historic second annual event will take place in Saint Joseph Hall, located on Division Street (FM 41) at 21st Street in Slaton,” said Behnke. “It benefits the cafeteria at St. Joseph School, a first-class kitchen that serves the best institutional food this ol’ boy has ever tasted.”
