Food for Thought – One positive thought can change your whole day!
Just for Laughs – While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant and resumed their trip.
Unfortunately, the elder woman had left her glasses on the table, and she didn’t miss them until after they had been driving about thirty minutes. Then to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance farther before they could find a place to turn around.
All the way back, the elderly husband fussed and scolded his wife.
They finally arrived at the restaurant, and as the woman got out of the car and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the man yelled to her, “While you’re in there, you might as well get my hat, too.”
On Friday Amy from Calvert entertained us with song during lunch. If you were not here you really missed out. Amy sang a variety of songs. Everyone enjoyed the singing. Amy will be back.
The Site Council will be holding a bake sale in time for Easter. It will take place at United on Thursday April 17 from 10 a.m. till we sell out. This bake sale will benefit our MOW program.
Bingo on Monday had 21 players. The secret prize was won by Ann Bishop. The blackout amount of $38.76 was won by Sandy Goodner.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (April 14) Bingo from 1-2. Tuesday (April 15) Monthly 42 game. Thursday (April 17) Bake sale for MOW – at United Starting at 10 a.m. Friday (April 18) We will be closed for Good Friday.
Mow delivers for March 31st – April 4th were done by Guadalupe Catholic Church. Those who served were Anita King, Curtis Baker, Karen Branscum, Gloria Olivares, Cynthia Olivares, Raymond Garcia and Donovan Reader.
MOW deliveries for April 14 – 18 is the responsibility of First Methodist Church.
