Food for thought – Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii?
B & A Day on September 25 is also our annual meeting. There will be a report on the state of the Senior Citizens Center by the board directors. We will be electing board members and volunteer male and female of the year. Please join us for this special day.
Bingo on Monday had 23 people waiting to yell Bingo Bingo!. The secret prize was won by Wilma Rollo. The blackout amount of $54.30 was won by Monica Urias.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (Sept. 23) Bingo 1-2, Tuesday (Sept. 24) Calvert from 11-12, Wednesday (Sept. 25) B and A Day plus annual meeting.
Just for laughs – A man and his wife were sitting on the porch and she said “Guess what I would like to have?” The man said “What would you like to have?” The wife said “A great big bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and nuts on top!” The man said “Boy howdy, that would be good. I’ll go down to the store and get some for us.” The wife said, “Now that is vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and nuts. You better write it down.” The man said “I don’t need to write it down, I can remember.” A little while later he returned with two ham sandwiches. He gave one to his wife. She looked at the sandwich, lifted the top off, and said “You mulehead, I told you to write it down, I wanted mustard on mine!”
Mow delivers for Sept. 9 – 13 were done by Slaton Care Center. Those who served were Brenda Meurer, Kandi Melton, and Kristen Coffee.
MOW deliveries for September 23 – 27 is the responsibility of First Baptist Church.
