Food for Thought– Think only good thoughts today.
The Site Council for 2015 has the following members – Jeannette Bradford, Ella Mae Hall, Beverly Droemer, Sandy Goodner, Raymond Garcia, Eunice Montgomery, and Pat Dawson.
Our attendance has been low the last few weeks. Hopefully if the weather improves so will our attendance. Come by for lunch any day Monday thru Friday. We start serving at 12:00.
Bingo on Monday had 22 players waiting to yell Bingo. The secret prize was won by Connie Garza. The blackout amount of $38.28 was won by Mary Galindo. Come join us for lunch next Monday and then stay to play Bingo.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendar! – Monday (Jan. 19) Bingo from 1-2. Tuesday (Jan. 20) Monthly 42 game from 1-4. Friday (Jan. 23) Amy from Calvert will entertain us with songs starting at 11:45.
Just for Laughs – The owner of a large factory decided to make a surprise visit and check up on his staff. As he walked through the plant, he noticed a young man doing nothing but leaning against the wall. He walked up to the young man and said angrily, “How much do you make a week?”
“Three hundred bucks,” replied the young man. Taking out his wallet, the owner counted out three hundred dollars, shoved it into the young man’s hands, and said, “Here is a week’s pay – now get out and don’t come back!”
Turning to one of the supervisors the owner asked, “Just how long had that lazy kid been working here?”
“He doesn’t work here,” said the supervisor. “He was just delivering our pizzas.”
Mow deliveries for Jan. 5 – 9 were done by St. Joseph Catholic Church. Those who served were Robert Hurst, Davia Heinrich, Keilie Heinrich, Phyllis Davis, Jake Wendell, Arlene Staffens, Len Dodson, Joyce Ganus, Joyce Schwertner and Donovan Reder.
Mow deliveries for Jan. 19 – 23 is the responsibility of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
