According to Slaton Fire Chief Rainwater, 60+ MPH winds were confirmed in Slaton Tuesday afternoon. Rainwater stated “Just glad it didn’t last for an extended period of time which would have caused catastrophic damages.” Wednesday should be a less windy day with winds expected to blow below 20 mph.
