Food for Thought- Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
B and A Day had 7 birthday celebrants. Those celebrating were Jolene Fondy, Gail Ferguson, Ann Bishop, Nancy Henderson, Bertha Perez, Sid Vasquez, and Steve Campbell. There were no anniversaries even Steve Campbell couldn’t come up with something to celebrate.
The United pie sale to benefit our MOW program ended Saturday. We thank United and Sara Lee for sponsoring this fund raiser. The final total is not in yet. But our volunteers collected $3540.45. Those who volunteered were Marvin Self, Gene Droemer, Janis King, Pat Dawson, Ella Mae Hall, Sandy Goodner, Bob Adams, Jeannette Bradford, Karen Branscum, Beverly Droemer, Donovan Reder, Jo Lacy, Albert Rinne, Marolyn Rinne, Josie Baca, Janie Gatia, Connie Garza and Janet James. A big thank you to all who donated!
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars – Monday (Dec. 1) HFF from 10-12. Bingo from 1-2. Thursday (Dec. 4) Annual tree decorating party starting at 5:30. Monday (Dec. 8) Bingo from 1-2. Tuesday (Dec.9) Calvert from 11-12. Thursday (Dec. 11) Site Council meeting 11:00.
Bingo this week. The secret prize was won by Diane Walker. The blackout amount of $41.37 was won by Josie Baca. Come join us next Monday for lunch and stay to play bingo.
Just for laughs- Two old codgers went fishing one morning. Sitting in the boat, neither of them said a word for hours. Then one shuffled his legs a little, trying to work out a cramp. He shuffled his legs again about two hours later. His buddy looked up and said, “Did you come to fish or to practice your dancing?”
Mow deliveries for Nov. 17 – 21 were done by St. Joseph Catholic Church. Those who served were Robert Hurst, Jake Wendell, Joyce Schwerter, Gloria Olivares, Diane Wall, Lynette Settle, Joyce Ganus, Edward Gaydos, and Richard Len Dodson.
