Glen L. Hartley, 87, of Slaton, passed away on June 14, 2016. Services will be in Englewood Cemetery on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:30 AM, with Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. The family will have a visitation Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Englunds from 6 to 7:30 PM.
Glen was born July 16, 1928 to Leo and Grace (White)) Hartley on the family farm near Rogersville MO. He moved to Slaton in 1949. Glen went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad for two years before going into the U S Army in 1951. He served in Germany. Upon military separation, in December of 1952 he returned to Slaton, and work, as a Conductor on the Santa Fe retiring in 1988. He married Annie Jo Wood on April 2, 1955 in Lubbock.
Glen was preceded in death by a son David, on July 11, 1998.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Annie Jo of the home, two sons Joe of Friendswood, TX, and Tim of Cypress TX., and a sister Helen Dunn of Dallas TX.
