Lord God,
as we gather together in your name,
let us always remember to praise you
and thank you.
We thank you for the gift of family and friends
which brings us together.
We thank you for our faith
which holds us together.
We thank you for our country
in which we are free to worship you together.
We thank you for the food we are about to share,
for the surroundings in which we celebrate.
We ask your blessing on all those around this table
and those who find themselves in need this day.
We ask this through Jesus Christ,
your Son, in union with the Holy Spirit.
