On Friday October 30, 2015, Slaton will be hosting our 5th Friday Slaton on the Square from 6 – 9 pm. i downtown Slaton, Texas!
Come out for an enjoyable evening on an old fashioned downtown square! There will be lots of art, antiques, miniature railroading, quilting, baked goods, street vendors, music and more. . .
Bring your Christmas list and get a head start on your gift shopping.
Stop by Multiplicity Art Gallery for original, one-of-a-kind gifts in all price ranges from local artists. Buy goodies from the Slaton Bakery. Quilting supplies from the Quilts -N More. Watch model trains travel through our West Texas landscape. Buy antiques from the Antique Mall. Visit the Slaton Museum. Enjoy the artwork at V2 Art Gallery, In-Between Art Gallery and Waters South Art Gallery. And of course, the street vendors of all types will be happy to sell you their wares.

HS cross country students competed at the District Cross Country meet yesterday at Mae Simmons Park and did very well!
The following Varsity Boys qualified for regionals:
Tannon Cearley finished 2nd
Jordan Garcia finished 3rd
Anthony Torres finished 6th
The Boys Varsity Cross Country team finished 2nd place.
The following Varsity Girls qualified for regionals:
Clair Zapata finished 5th
Aryanna Zapata finished 8th
Mireya Hernandez finished 10th
