Weather – Another HOT Day!
Recycle Center – Special Hours
from Slaton Chamber of Commerce
The abundance of recent rains has had a blossoming affect on our community.
So much so that the City has increased their summer youth crew to help clean up.
They are working diligently cleaning alleys, parks and other areas around town.
Beginning June 15th, access to the Recycle Center will be free to Slaton residents.
Extended operating days and hours are to accommodate our residents as they
clean their property.
Take advantage of this time to do some serious trimming and mowing. Don’t forget
the alleys. This is your chance to get rid of that old lumber, limbs, appliances, metal,
concrete and other household items. Please note, that tires will retain their $2.00
disposal fee.
Starting July 6th, Violation Letters will be sent out to property owners who have not
maintained their property, indicating code violations that need to be corrected.
