Monthly City Council Meeting – February

The Slaton City Council meeting was short yesterday. Agenda moved smoothly. A few items discussed…
1. May 6th Elections for the following: Mayor – DW Englund, Council: Weldon Self, Council: Benny Lopez
2. New Voting machines will be used for this election.
3. Shipping Container possible ordinance adjustments were discussed and will be researched to see what other communities are doing with the growing popularity.
4. SMRF $100,000 revolving grants was awarded to the city for start-up businesses.
5. City has been funded for the next round of HUD Home development.
