Plate will include Carne Guisda, Rice, Beans, 2 tortillas and homemade salsa & DRINK. $10.00 a plate . You can pickup plates at 1205 wellhausen in wilson tx. We will deliver in the Wilson TX, Slaton TX & Southwest Lubbock Areas Proceeds will benefit the Texas Chargers who will be playing in the West Coast AAU Nationals Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas Nevada. please text order to 806-201-2777 please let us know address and what time to be delivered.Orders will be ready by 11:00 am . 2 plate min for deliveries

George Wright WINS Big @ Texas High School Rodeo Assoc High School Finals and now moves to the National Rodeo Finals.  He will also compete in the IFYR – Leadership Rodeo for Bloomer’s Trailer Elite Team. Competing with Canada, Australia and Mexico. Over 2000 contestants!

Viola Mae Reardon

Viola ReardonViola Mae Reardon       (Slaton) Chapel Services for Viola Mae (Walton) Reardon, 77, of Lubbock will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11 AM in Englunds Chapel with Dr Cleve Kerby officiating. The family will have a visitation before the service from 10 AM to Service time.  Services are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Viola was born July 6th, 1938 to Charles H. and Louella (Eblen) Walton in Slaton TX. She graduated from Slaton High School and Texas Tech University. Viola was an educator for 21 years in the Lubbock ISD system, retiring in 2002. Viola married James Robert Reardon in 1959 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, they followed the Air Force deployment Stratford Conn., Middletown PA., Sembach Germany Air base, returned to Lubbock in 1967, and made their home in Lubbock.

Those who will cherish her memory include Husband of the home, a son Michael James and wife Jenni of Houston along with three grandchildren, Gillian, Megan, and Brendan and a sister Nancie Dunlap of Lake Jackson.

Glen L. Hartley

Glenn HartleyGlen L. Hartley, 87, of Slaton, passed away on June 14, 2016. Services will be in Englewood Cemetery on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:30 AM, with Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. The family will have a visitation Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Englunds from 6 to 7:30 PM.

Glen was born July 16, 1928 to Leo and Grace (White)) Hartley on the family farm near Rogersville MO.  He moved to Slaton in 1949. Glen went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad for two years before going into the U S Army in 1951. He served in Germany. Upon military separation, in December of 1952 he returned to Slaton, and work, as a Conductor on the Santa Fe retiring in 1988. He married Annie Jo Wood on April 2, 1955 in Lubbock.

Glen was preceded in death by a son David, on July 11, 1998.

His memory will be cherished by his wife Annie Jo of the home, two sons Joe of Friendswood, TX, and Tim of Cypress TX., and a sister Helen Dunn of Dallas TX.
