Daniela CruzDaniela Cruz – Senior:  Daniela has a positive, encouraging attitude and is always willing to help others.  She is a good influence and a great role model.  She is actively involved in various extracurricular programs as well as in her church.

Gage SmithGage Smith – Senior:  Gage is dependable, hardworking, creative, polite and helpful to all his peers.  He is a very smart young man with a bright future ahead of him.  He has a great sense of humor and is admired by all who know him.

Cassandra GarciaCassandra Garcia – Junior:  Cassandra’s work demonstrates a high level of commitment and quality.  She sets high standards for herself in all she does.  She is friendly and soft spoken, always willing to help others.

Israel MunizIsrael Muniz – Junior: Israel is a great student who is always very respectful and exhibits a mature demeanor making him a great example for his fellow students.  He is able to juggle his academics and an almost full time job with great success.

Israel NievesIsrael Nieves – Sophomore:  Israel is a very responsible, committed student who takes his scholastic progress seriously.  He is always focused and engaged in all his classes.  He completes his work at the highest level.

Alexus RuelasAlexus Ruelas – Sophomore:  Alexus is a hardworking and creative young lady with a kind disposition.  She is dependable, reliable and completes her assignments at a high level maintaining good grades.

Tylar OconnerTylar O’Conner – Freshman:  Tylar is self-confident, positive and very respectful in all situations.  His unique sense of humor is refreshing and brings a smile to everyone.  He is a hard worker and takes pride in his accomplishments.

Nyla VelasquezNyla Velasquez – Freshman:  Nyla is a sweet, kind young lady who generously helps her peers whenever they have a need.  She is always on task, responsible and respectful.  She has a delightful sense of humor and is a wonderful student in class.

This Friday – 5th Friday Around The Slaton Square

5th Friday Multi

Fifth Friday Slaton on the Square will be Friday, April 29 2016 from 6-9 pm.

Come out and explore the Slaton Model Train Studio,The Slaton Museum and Antique Mall, and the new Linzy’s Arcade.
The Art Galleries will be open and showcasing NEW artwork.
5th 3dAt the In Between Gallery will be an exhibition of life-size self portraits done by Drawing II students of Lubbock Christian University with Kristy Kristinek . The artists are Beth MacPhie, Madison Sanders, Zach Long, Jessica Long, Jenny Jeffreys, Debra Dent, and Mick Limon.
From the Texas Tech School of Art will be Molly Benavides, Kayla Crow, Amber Huckabee, Callie Murray and Nathan Collins.
Other artists showing are Skip and Linda Crawford, Carolina Arrellanos, Yulia Makarova, Coree Devore, and Ghislaine Fremaux.
MULTIPLICITY ART GALLERY will be showcasing NEW works by Susan Sheets (horse oil paintings), Jennifer Greer (large abstract string art), Carol Koenig (bird inspired assemblages), and photographs by Christena Stephens and Jerry Thompson.  Other artists in the gallery are Judy Robertson (fused glass and mixed media), Marsha Davis (mosaics), Cecily Smith Maples (pottery and porcelain jewelry), Willa Finley (photographs and her Texas and New Mexico Wildflower books), Roger Holmes (pottery), Tom Hicks (pottery), Danny Watson (metal art), Donna Rose (photographs), Yvonne Greene (drawings), and Wayne Greene (pottery).  ALSO NEW: The small gallery has been set up as an “Antique and Resale Shop” (until the end of the summer) with antique furniture and sundry items that warrant a look see!
