Food for thought – Stop and smell the roses.
The monthly 42 game on Tuesday the 17th had 3 tables of players. Those who played were Janis King, Steve Colleps, Dwayne Walters, Earl Eblens, Ella Mae Hall, Margaret Phillips, Bob Adams, Gene Droemer, Jimmie Pettigrew, Greg Naida, Sandy Goodner and Imogene Davis. I did hear a lot of laughter coming from the domino room. Way to go- let’s try for 4 tables next month.
Bingo on Monday had 22 players. The secret prize was won by Rufina Perez. The blackout amount of $36.62 was split by Jay Lacy and Janis King. Come have lunch next Monday and stay for Bingo.
This past week our friend Glayds Walls passed away. We will miss you Gladys. Our condolences go out to her family.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (Sept. 30) Bingo from 1-2, Monday (Oct. 7 ) HFF from 10-12, Bingo from 1-2 Tuesday (Oct 15) Calvert from 11-12.
Just for laughs – A farmer was hauling manure and his truck broke down in front of a mental institution. One of the patients leaned over the fence and said, “What are you going to do with your manure?” The farmer said, “I am going to put it on my strawberries.” The patient said, “We might be crazy, but we put whipped cream on our strawberries.”
Mow delivers for Sept. 16 – 20 were done by Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Those who served were Ramon Garcia, Gloria Olivares, Donovan Reader, and Dianna Salazar.
MOW deliveries for September 30 – Oct. 4 is the responsibility of First Methodist Church.
