Food for Thought– Have a happy and prosperous New Year!
Special Bingo on Monday had 37 players. The secret prize was won by Carolyn Walker. The blackout amount of $65.17 was won by Rudy Dominguez. A big thank you to Sandy Goodner for putting together all the nice prizes for the special Bingo. Everyone had a good time.
Bingo on Monday Dec. 29th had 22 players. The secret prize was won by Imogene Davis. The blackout amount of $42.22 was won by Beverly Droemer.
Gerry Waugh collected several items from various stores in Slaton. These items were used as a door prize for our American Legion Members. Those who won a prize were Wayne Liles, Leon Moore, Earl Eblen, Ronald Schilling, Robert Estes, Robert Breedlove, Coy Evans, and Dean Shaw.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendar! – Thursday (Jan. 1) Center will be closed- Happy New Year. Monday (Jan. 5) HFF 10-12. Bingo 1-2. Thursday (Jan. 8) Site Council meeting 11:00 a.m.!!
As we say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015 we would like to invite you to join us this year. Come for lunch then stay and play games in the afternoon. The mornings have men playing dominoes and pool. Come by and meet some old friends and make some new ones.
There are volunteers that help out daily and we want to thank them for their service! Money changers – Janis King, Guadalupe Perez, Jeannette Bradford, Earl Eblen, Elizabeth Clark, and Ella Mae Hall. Meal delivers – Donovan Reader and Jo Lacy. Marvin Self for watering trees and flowers. Jeannette Bradford for putting out new flowers to make our outside look inviting. Our Bingo caller Janis King.
Mow deliveries for Dec. 22 -24 were done by Hearts Together Church of Christ. Those who served were Gabriela Olivares, Gloria Olivares, and Rosario Olivares.
Mow deliveries for Jan. 5 – 9 is the responsibility of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
