Just an update on what’s happening at the park on the 4th of July!

Activities: Dunking Booth, water balloons, water polo, inflatable jumper and slide, inflatable boxing, bingo in the club house and more games for prizes.

Raffles: by Slaton Junior High Cheerleaders for a large flat screen TV and Knights of Columbus for 1st prize; Master Forge 5 burner gas grill, 2nd prize; $400 towards purchase of gun or ammo through Greg Dyess independent gun dealer, 3rd & 4th prize; $100 dollar gift card to United Supermarkets.

Food: Hamburgers, hotdogs, fajitas, tacos, tamales, sausage wraps, snow cones, roasted corn, homemade ice cream, limeade, strawberry and watermelon drinks.

Performers: on “KSSL Sound Stage”: Texas Cadillac Jack, Cathy Whitten, Lynn Childress, Jack Tyson, Blake Kitchens, Danielle Henzler, Alex Garza.

The Board named Dustin Klafka as our Athletic Director for the district. Coach Klafka has a Master’s degree in Sports Administrations and has great vision for our programs. He will assume these duties immediately.

The Board also named Coach Sam Robinson as Boys Athletic Coordinator and Head Varsity Football Coach. We are excited to have Coach Robinson on board and we know he will take us to the next level while providing for continuity in our boy’s athletic programs.

Tiger Nation is in great hands!

Police Chief Resigns

Steve Wheeler Slaton Police ChiefSlaton Police Chief, Steve Wheeler, resigned during a special Slaton City Council meeting on Monday.   Wheeler plans on staying involved in the Slaton Community.  Officer Trevor Barnes was appointed as interim chief.

Slaton Ironman Youth Football League will be hosting Signups Friday June 28th. The Signups will be held @ Centennial Bank 103 Texas Ave, Slaton, TX. Ironman is the Tackle Football Program in Slaton for kids in grade 3rd-6th. The cost is $100 per player. This will include equipment,decal,& custom jersey. We have a payment plan available. You will need to put $40 dollars down & a payment of 30 dollars each month in July & August. Harvey Girl Dinner Success


Saturday Night a group surrounded the story telling of Annalon Gilbreath, Harvey Girl.  Dinner was fantastic, company was great and The Evening with a Harvey Girl was superb!
