Southland Headed to State

by Nick McCollister, Southland Agriculture Science Teacher

Congratulations to both the Milk and Poultry team this weekend.  For the second year in a row we have another state qualifying team bringing home 2 more banners.  Our poultry team will compete at Texas A&MU May 3rd.  Both teams did great this year.  Please wish the poultry team good luck as they compete for state.

Funds Needed – Slaton Jr & Sr Prom

PASSPORT TO PROM
by Brittany Wright, Slaton High School – Art/Yearbook

“The Junior Class has fund-raised until our hearts content this year and our Junior/Senior Prom is still short around $1500 in order to pay for our food, location, decorations, DJ, etc., so I hope this can be one of our last fundraisers for the year.

I am asking that everyone consider donating at least $1.00 to our fund and then share information with someone in the community, on your Facebook page, twitter, etc., that may have not received the information.  I know there is not a tangible return; however, I am hopeful we can raise the money necessary to help ensure our students can have a fun and exciting prom this year!

If you are interested, you may do this by clicking on the link below and clicking on the “give now” button.
