Quick Highlights of the Boys Regional Meet

Saturday March 14th, the Boy’s Powerlifting Team had 8 boys compete as qualifiers or alternates.

Freshman Philip Rocha finished in 8th place in the 114lb weight class with lifts of 250lbs squat, 155lbs Bench (personal best), and 285lb deadlift (personal best).
Junior Braxton Creager finished in 8th place in the 181’s with lifts if 415lb squat, 225lb bench, and a 475lb deadlift (personal best).
Senior David Camargo finished in 10th place in the 220’s with lifts of 455 (personal best), 250lb bench (personal best), and a 410lb deadlift.
Junior Harley Simpson finished in 9th place in the 220’s with a 450lb squat, 265lb bench (personal best), and a 405lb deadlift.
Senior Marcial Salinas finished in 8th place in the 242’s with a 470lb squat, 230lb bench, and a 470lb deadlift
Freshman Alek Garcia finished in 9th place in the 275+’s with lifts of 425lb squat, 180lb bench, and a 440lb deadlift.
AJ Garcia did not record any lifts due to technical error in the squat.
Sophomore Tyler Johnson tied for 3rd place in the 148lb weight class, and received the 4th place medal (tiebreaker was the heavier lifter).  His lifts of 460lb squat (more than triple bodyweight), 210lb bench, and a 405lb deadlift were all personal bests.
