Senior Citizen Center Appoints Board of Directors

Food for thought –If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Our B and A day was very busy.  We had our annual meeting, elected board of directors and volunteers of the year.  Then we celebrated those with birthdays and anniversaries in the month of September.  Those celebrating birthdays were Ralph Bravoco, Sue Patterson, Sandra Goodner, Wilma Rollo, Bill Chapa, Margaret Phillips, Ruth Hartman, Gene Moore, Robert Meeks, Elmer Waugh, (93yrs young), Grady Montgomery and Mark Meurer.  Those celebrating anniversaries were Pat and Sue Patterson (17 yrs).  Congratulations to all.

We elected the following persons for our board of directors, Steve Campbell, Jo Lacy, Bob Adams, Janis King, Mark Meurer and Richard Edwards. Congratulations and thank you for your service.  A thank you to John Deleon and Gene Moore for your past service on the board.

Our volunteers for the year 2012-2013 were Gene Moore and Janet James.  Thanks to all the people who volunteer at the center you are all winners!

Bridge on Wednesday had 4 tables.  Those who played were Jolene Fondy, Bob Adams, Pat Davis, Troyce Wood, Jo Ann Williams, Sandra Voigt, J. D. Zinck, Marge Zinck, Rob Hiner, Max Robertson, Jimaileen Jenson, Kaia Hawley, Ralph Bravoco, Steve Campbell, Margaret Edwards, and Alma Jean Kennedy. The winners were Pat Davis and Sandra Voigt.

Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (Oct. 7 ) HFF from 10-12, Bingo from 1-2, Monday (Oct. 14) Closed for Columbus Day, Tuesday (Oct 15) Calvert from 11-12, Monthly 42 Game starting at 1:00. No Bingo this week.

Bingo on Monday had 22 people waiting to yell Bingo!. The secret prize was won by Imogene Davis.  The blackout amount of $37.55 was split by Louise Brake and Elizabeth Clark.

Mow delivers for Sept. 23 – 27 were done by First Baptist Church. Those who served were Beverly Frazier, Brian Rape, Nancy Harlan, Joanne Lancaster, Penny Polk, Marilee Edmunds, Robert Hurst, William Jones and George Harlan.

MOW deliveries for Oct. 7 – 11 is the responsibility of Hearts Together Church of Christ.
