Food for thought – Where some people see a roadblock, others see a challenge.

I took a couple of days off last week.  Doing yard work may not be as much fun as going to the center but it has to be done.  Now that’s done it’s back to fun.

Upcoming events
– Thursday (April 25) Pot luck – game night starting at 5:30. Monday (May 6) HFF will be here from 10-12 to check your BP, blood sugar, and weight.  Tuesday (May 14) Calvert will be here from 11-12 to check your BP.  Saturday (May 18) Our MOW breakfast from 8 – 9:30.

If it’s Monday that mean it is Bingo. There were 24 players trying to win a prize.  The secret prize was won by Carolyn Walker. The Blackout amount of $51.50 was won by Mona Ramirez.

Just for laughs
– I called a patient to confirm an appointment with the doctor I work for, and her husband answered.

“Hello, may I speak with Anna?”
“Who?” he said.
“Anna.”
“Santa?”
“No, Anna.”
“Who is this?”
“This is the doctor’s office calling for Anna!”
“Who?”
“The doctor’s office calling for Anna!”
“Oh, Anna,” he said.  “You better talk to me; Anna’s hard of hearing.”

MOW deliveries for April 15-19 were done by the Slaton Care Center.
Those who served were April Morales, Brenda Meurer, Ray Conner, Beverly Frazier, Kandi Melton, Kristen Coffee, Rosemary Valdez, Margaret Mireles, Mary Maldonado and Donover Reader.
MOW deliveries for April 29 – May 3 is the responsibility of the First Baptist Church.
