Food for thought – Don’t sweat the small stuff – and it’s all small stuff.
Just for Laughs – “I hope you didn’t take it personally, Reverend,” an embarrassed woman said after church service. “When my husband walked out during your sermon.”
“I did find it rather disconcerting,” the preacher replied.
“It’s not a reflection on you, sir,” insisted the churchgoer. “Ralph has been walking in his sleep ever since he was a child.”
We had 1 table for our monthly 42 game. Those playing were Margaret Philips, Imogene Davis, Sandy Goodner, and Jimmie Pettigrew. Next monthly 42 game will be Tues. Feb. 18 at 1:00. Mark your calendar and come and fill up 4 tables.
Our B and A Day had 5 people celebrating their birthdays. Those celebrating were Jo Webb (93 yrs young), Charlotte O’Connell, Edwin Knight, Fannie Ariaz and Linda Burns. There were no anniversaries unless you count Steve Campbell who is always celebrating something.
Bridge on B and A Day had 4 tables. Those playing were Bob Adams, Sandra Voigt, Sheelah Pagenderm, Max Robertson, Jo Ann Williams, Ralph Bravoco, J. D. Zinck, Marge Zinck, Steve Campbell, Patsy Sammons, Kaia Hawley, Jolene Fondy, Cherie Poer, Rob Hiner, Margaret Edwards, and Vista Beard.
Bingo on Monday had hopeful players. The secret prize was won by Imogene Davis. The blackout amount of $57.97 was won by Eva Herrera. Come join us next Monday for lunch and then Bingo starting at 1:00.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (Feb. 3) HFF from 10-12. Bingo from 1-2. Monday (Feb. 10) Bingo from 1-2. Tuesday (Feb.11) Calvert from 11-12. Thursday (Feb. 13) Balloon Volleyball starting at 1:00. We are challenging our Board of Directors for this game. Saturday (Feb. 15) MOW Breakfast from 8-9:30.
Mow delivers for Jan. 20 – 24 was done by Bible Baptist Church. Those who served were Beverly Frazier, Mackie Fondy, Donovan Reader, Pat McIntire, David Jenkins, Anita King, Jerry Copeland, and Dru Richardson.
MOW deliveries for Feb. 3 – 7 is the responsibility of the Slaton Care Center.
