Food for Thought – Today: I am in charge of how I feel and I am choosing happiness!
Our MOW breakfast on Saturday had 57 people enjoying the meal. We received $342.05 in donations. Thank you for your support of our MOW program. Those who helped with the breakfast were Shirley Campbell, Jo Lacy, Jeannette Bradford, Raymond Garcia, Janis King, and Janet James.
Bingo on Monday had 21 players. The secret prize was won by Sandy Goodner. The blackout amount of $50.95 was won by Connie Garza. Since we will be closed on Monday the 26th – we will have Bingo on Tuesday the 27th.
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Friday (May 23) Amy from Calvert will entertain us with song during lunch. Monday (May 26) Closed for Memorial Day. Tuesday (May 27) Calvert from 11-12. Bingo from 1-2. Wednesday (May 28) B and A day – Bridge after lunch.
Just for Laughs – The new ensign was assigned to submarines, his dream since he was a young boy.
He was trying to impress the master chief with his expertise learned in sub school.
The master chief cut him off quickly and said, “Listen, it’s really simple. Add the number of times we dive to the number of times we surface. Divide that number by two. If the result isn’t an even number, don’t open the hatch.”
Mow delivers for May 12th – May 16th were done by Slaton Care Center. Those who served were Kristen Coffee, Crystal Pemberton, Brenda Meurer, Robert Hurst, and Ray Conner.
MOW deliveries for May 26 – May 30 is the responsibility of the First Baptist Church.
