SPECIAL EVENT

Come join us for an open house at the Slaton Senior Citizens Center. This will take place starting at 11 a.m. Saturday April 11. We want you to see our center and all the activities that happen daily. If you want you can play pool, dominoes or other games.

Activities for the day will include some fund raisers for our MOW program. Plus the following:

The Lions Club will be serving free hamburgers from 11 to 1:00 p.m.

Bingo starting at 1:00 p.m. It will cost $1.00 a card or 6 for $5.00. We will play 5 games for prizes plus blackout for a guaranteed amount of $50.00.

Silent Auction of various items.

Bake sale- cakes, cookies and pies.

A raffle for 2 tickets to the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles- $5.00 per ticket or 6 for $25.00. Drawing to be held on or before August 15.

B and A day had 5 people celebrating their March birthdays. Those celebrating were Albert Rinnie, Steve Colleps, Janet James, Richard Edwards, and John Ramirez. Elmer and Gerry Waugh celebrated their anniversary of 68 years. Congratulations to all.

Bridge after lunch had 3 tables. Those who played were Bob Adams, Troyce Wood, J.D. Zinck, Jo Ann Williams, Margaret Edwards, Max Robertson, Steve Campbell, Sandra Voigt, Rob Hiner, Cherie Poer, and Ralph Bravoco. The winners were Steve Campbell and Rob Hiner.

Bingo on Monday had players waiting to yell Bingo Bingo! We had three secret prizes. Two were won by Mary Galindo and one by Snow Arguello. The blackout amount of $35.92 was won by Violet Hobbs. Come join us next Monday for lunch and then stay and play Bingo at 1:00.

MOW deliveries for March 23 – 27 were done by Hearts Together Church of Christ. Those who served were Curtis Baker, Ronda Sikes, Barbara Parks, Anita King, Tracy Menzer, Julia Riesbeck, Steven Jones, and John Deleon.

Mow deliveries for April 6 – April 10 is the responsibility of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
