Food for thought – Funny, I don’t remember being absent minded…
We held our Site Council meeting Monday Jan. 6. Those attending were Sandy Goodner, Beverly Droemer, Pat Dawson, Earl Eblen, Imogene Davis, Louise Brake, Jeannette Bradford, Monica Urias, Donovan Reader, and Janet James. Thank all of you for attending. We elected the following officers-Secretary Monica Urias, Vice Chairperson Jeannette Bradford, and Chairman Janet James.
Our monthly balloon volleyball game on Thursday Jan. 9 was a lot of fun! Those who played (green team) Imogene Davis, Pat Dawson, Charles Edmunds, Janis King and Karen Horn. The (red team) Fred Melcher, Steve Campbell, Donovan Reader, Mary Edmunds, and Janet James. Beverly Droemer was our score keeper and cheerleader. Each team won 1 game. Next month we are challenging our “Board of Directors” to come and play.
Bingo on Monday had 30 players ready to yell Bingo Bingo. There were two secret prizes. The winners were Monica Urias and Nell Cole. The blackout amount of $67.32 was won by Monica Urias. .
Upcoming events – Mark your calendars! Monday (Jan. 20) Bingo from 1-2. Tuesday (Jan. 21) 42 game from 1-4. Wednesday (Jan. 22) birthday and anniversary and Bridge 1-4.
Just for Laughs – The shopkeeper was discouraged when a new business much like his own opened up next door and erected a huge sign that read, Best Deals. He was depressed when another competitor opened up on the block and announced its arrival with an even larger sign reading, Lowest Prices.The shopkeeper was panicked until he got an idea. He put the biggest sign of all over his own shop – it read Main Entrance.
Mow delivers for Jan. 6 – 10 was the responsibility of the First Methodist Church. Those who served were Ella Mae Hall, Richard Edwards, Jo Gay, Don Mitchell, Beth Mitchell, Jacque Davidson, Lisa Nowlin, Carolyn Marley, Steve Campbell, Becky Gamble, and Debbie Sims.
MOW deliveries for Jan. 20 – Jan. 24 is the responsibility of the Bible Baptist Church.
