Quick Highlights of the Boys Regional Meet

Saturday March 14^th, the Boy’s Powerlifting Team had 8 boys compete as qualifiers or alternates.

Freshman Philip Rocha finished in 8^th place in the 114lb weight class with lifts of 250lbs squat, 155lbs Bench (personal best), and 285lb deadlift (personal best).
Junior Braxton Creager finished in 8^th place in the 181’s with lifts if 415lb squat, 225lb bench, and a 475lb deadlift (personal best).
Senior David Camargo finished in 10^th place in the 220’s with lifts of 455 (personal best), 250lb bench (personal best), and a 410lb deadlift.
Junior Harley Simpson finished in 9^th place in the 220’s with a 450lb squat, 265lb bench (personal best), and a 405lb deadlift.
Senior Marcial Salinas finished in 8^th place in the 242’s with a 470lb squat, 230lb bench, and a 470lb deadlift
Freshman Alek Garcia finished in 9^th place in the 275+’s with lifts of 425lb squat, 180lb bench, and a 440lb deadlift.
AJ Garcia did not record any lifts due to technical error in the squat.
Sophomore Tyler Johnson tied for 3^rd place in the 148lb weight class, and received the 4^th place medal (tiebreaker was the heavier lifter).  His lifts of 460lb squat (more than triple bodyweight), 210lb bench, and a 405lb deadlift were all personal bests.
